READ BELOW TO HELP THE IT GIRLS FUNDRAISING FOR THE SANTA RUN OR FOR MORE INFORMATION ON JOINING THE IT GIRLS!

Founded in 2007, the IT Girls is a group of thoughtful and caring women who have come together in Las Vegas to deliver a message to the community that replaces fear with understanding and compassion.  The intention is to spread the word that people with severe disabilities are a gift to all.

It is the job of the IT Girls and the community, to enhance the lives of people with disabilities by recognizing them for the unique and special talents they possess and empowering them through our efforts and understanding.

"IT" is what happened when I was born, but "IT" is all I know.

"IT" happened because of an accident but "IT" did not take my abilitiy to love and be happy.

"IT" happened on my way home from work and I will never be able to lead my old life.

"IT" is what happened, different in many cases.  "IT" is what we most fear for ourselves and our families, our children and our friends.  "IT" changes our lives.

The IT Girls will carry a message through various mediums and venues that "IT" Matters.  The IT Girls will educate people about Opportunity Village and why "IT" is important to our community.  It is equally important for everyone to get the message out that we can never have too many people who care.

Opportunity Village is a self-funded private not-for-profit organization that serves people with intellectual disabilities and the families who love them. Opportunity Village was founded in 1954 by seven families who wanted the best for their young children with intellectual disabilities.  Since that time, we have grown to become Nevada's largest provider of vocational, employment advocacy and social programs for people with disabilities.  The programs we provide save Nevada taxpayers over $17 million dollars annually.  We offer people the ability to achieve their dreams of independence and employment.
